The Cambridge Town School District (representing Cambridge Elementary School) will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the CES Gymnasium. The meeting will either begin at 1:00 PM, or at the conclusion of town meeting, whichever is later.

Collaboration with our communities directly supports the future of our students and, by extension, the strength and vitality of our Vermont communities. In an aging state, investing in the education and development of our young people is essential. A well-supported school system ensures that our students have the knowledge, skills, and opportunities to become local leaders and productive members of the workforce, reinforcing Vermont's future.

Key Budget Highlights for FY26 include:

  • Nearly 80% of Lamoille North’s budget is dedicated to student instruction and support, ensuring academic success, social-emotional development, and career readiness.
  • The FY26 budgets will:
    • Maintain high-quality educational opportunities and student services while remaining fiscally responsible.
    • Offer competitive salaries and support to retain top educators and support staff.
    • Provide evidence-based instruction in literacy, math, and science, along with professional development for teachers.
    • Strengthen community engagement and remove barriers to equity and access.
  • Vermont’s Act 127 supports funding opportunities for rural districts like Lamoille North, helping us balance resources without imposing excessive burdens on taxpayers.

Your participation in this meeting is vital. Together, we can ensure that our schools continue to provide equity, access, and opportunity for every student, shaping a stronger future for all.
